As reported in the West Side Leader on August 24, 2017. The Woodridge Local Schools Board of Education focused on the district’s finances and the coming levy campaign at its Aug. 15 meeting.
Superintendent Walter Davis informed the board that district officials have been meeting with campaign consultants and have ordered yard signs. The district is again contracting with the Impact Group to help with the campaign.
Davis said he also wants to conduct a number of information sessions around the district to explain “the unique Woodridge funding scenario, why we’re on the ballot so often and what all this looks like in terms of how we are supported by the state, or not.” He noted that in the upcoming state budget, the district will lose nearly 26 percent of its state funding.
