Letter: Asks Woodridge Local School District residents to support levy in fall

As was published in Cuyahoga Falls News Press, May 10, 2015:

I am a resident in the Woodridge Local School District system.

I am raising three boys who currently attend the primary, intermediate and middle school. I am also a first-grade teacher at the primary building and have been since 1992. I state these facts because I am proud of this school system. I am proud of all the dedication and enthusiasm that the board, administrators, faculty, support staff and the community give to our students in order to succeed. I can honestly say though that each year it becomes more difficult to maintain the old buildings. The buildings are in extreme need of many repairs. Our students deserve the best learning environments. I urge the community members to visit the primary, intermediate, middle or high school to see firsthand how urgent it is to rebuild and repair these buildings. I am hopeful that the community will invest in these schools to provide a safe facility for the students and also provide them the proper learning tools necessary to succeed. In November of 2015, please support our levy which will provide the funds needed to build and improve our buildings to help serve our future children in the community.
